This holiday season, the ACS Elementary school and Early Years families gave back to the community. Over 300 books were donated to the Nour Center's growing library by the Elementary school parents and 100 gifts were collected at a holiday festival organized by Early Years. These gifts are going to spread smiles on the faces of children across Lebanon, between orphanages, the Children’s Cancer Center at St Jude’s hospital, and the Nour Center. We would like to thank those who donated and wish everyone a happy holiday season!
A message to the ACS elementary school community:
We at Nour International would like to thank you for the invaluable gifts you have given the children of Burj Al Barajneh!
Our motto is "Don’t lose a generation to a lack of education". The shortage of books at this young, fragile school, the Nour Center, endangered our mission. You have prevented that. Book by book, you have helped us build a profound structure for these displaced learners: a library. A library is a gift that keeps on giving. A library is a home to all. A library is not easily taken down. A library lasts for generations. You haven’t merely donated books; you’ve donated creativity, curiosity, open-mindedness, literacy.
The children will always appreciate your contributions to their learning, however small, however large. We hope you will continue with us on this journey of goodwill.
Thank you,
Nour International Team
