INTERNATIONAL
About Us
Nour International is a global network of young people supporting the Nour Center, a community school for Syrian and Palestinian youth in Burj al Barajneh camp in Beirut, Lebanon.
Originally founded in 2014 by students at the American Community School at Beirut, Lebanon, we work in collaboration with the Women’s Program Association (WPA) at the Burj Al-Barajneh refugee camp to improve the quality of education provided in the Nour Center, a school for over 200 Syrian and Palestinian children, whose ages range from 6 to 24 years old. We aim to support the center in order to create a permanent safe environment for the students, improve the value of their education, and broaden their opportunities beyond the classroom.
